All Smart Internet Marketers know the power of Long Tail Keywords, so if you aren’t using Long Tail Phrases… You aren’t smart…. Sorry. When running a CPC campaign Long tails can mean the difference between making profit or loss for a few reasons;
1) As a general rule the longer the phrase the more qualified the lead is, because the search is more specific so it makes it easier to gauge what the prospect is looking for.
2) Long Tails are usually much cheaper to bid on because most other Internet Marketers are either too lazy to do the research or don’t know what I’m about to show you.
3) There is usually heaps less competition… Well just because there is alright!
Why not just use Keyword Suggestion Tools to find your Long Tail Keywords?
At the time of writing even the Best keyword suggestion tools are blunt as buggery, they give us an indication of what people are searching for but when it comes to low search volume keywords no tool can give accurate results. They will normally just give you “low search volume” or “not enough data” which is about as useful as poke in the bum with a golden bull horn.
The other reason keyword tools are not always good is because they don’t even pick up all search phrases, there are so many different people out there with different ways of thinking that search for different things it would be near impossible to collate all the data. So our tools just give us the most popular results and that’s it.
I’m sure the Big G has the data at it’s finger tips and have a very good reason for keeping it quite, but that is another matter all on it’s own.
Anyway I developed this technique to help me drive highly targeted cheap traffic and though I would share it with you, bon appetit!
